About this work
Preserving habitat and protecting nature has been a long time theme throughout my art. I’ve woven messages of caring for nature and the environment into most of my work over the years, and this new piece “As if Our Lives Depended on it” is no different. It felt good to paint an image depicting the future utopia that is a result of humanity altering our current trajectory toward dystopia and actually protecting earth, her flora, her fauna, as if our lives depended on it. This new path resulting in a beautiful balance, a harmony with our natural world.
This piece is my portrayal of balance and harmony with nature, also just a sprinkle of the literal.
